Language Switch is an artist book 

exploring auditory perception through language. 

Designed in a Dos-à-Dos style, 

one side opens to "Korean Switch" 

and the other to "English Switch."

 Inspired by my curiosity about 

how I hear and experience Korean and English 

differently in daily life, 

this book captures my personal journey 

in understanding how each language shapes 

my perception in unique ways. 

English sounds like language when I’m focused,

but it can drift into a rhythm like music. 

Korean, on the other hand, always comes through as language

—a constant presence that I can’t turn off, even if I want to.

The Dos-à-Dos structure was chosen to reflect 

how both languages exist independently

 yet coexist within the same book. 

This symbolizes the switch between languages 

and how each affects my auditory perception in its own way.
