이 책은 시간이 쌓이고 기억이 축적되어 하나의 구조를 이루는 과정을 시각적으로 표현한 작품입니다.

얇은 한지들이 한 장 한 장 쌓이며 두께와 깊이를 이루고, 결국 모여서 입체적인 창호 문살을 형성합니다.

한지는 모여 책이 되고, 그 책은 다시 문으로 변합니다.

이 작업에서 “책”과 “문”은 서로 바뀔 수 있는 형태로 존재합니다.

열리면 문은 책이 되고, 닫히면 책은 문이 됩니다.

이 작품은 ‘Time Grain’ 시리즈중 하나로, 각 책은 서로 다른 창호 문을 담고 있습니다.

함께 모였을 때, 이들은 책 속에 문을 품은 컬렉션을 형성합니다.

This book is a visual representation of how time and memory accumulate to form a single structure.

Thin sheets of hanji paper are stacked one by one, gradually building thickness and depth,

until the individual pages come together to shape a three-dimensional lattice door.

The individual sheets gather to become a book, and the book in turn transforms into a door.

In this work, the “book” and the “door” exist as interchangeable forms:

when opened, the door becomes a book; when closed, the book becomes a door.
