The Knit Changho series reinterprets 

the structure of traditional Korean doors 

through the materiality of knit.

Doors once made of solid wood are transformed 

here into softer and more flexible forms.

Based on the original structures and proportions

of traditional Korean lattice doors, 

the patterns and spatial relationships 

of the wooden frames are reconstructed

 through knit, creating a new kind of door.

This work is not simply a translation 

of traditional door forms, 

but a process of transforming the 

very sensation of what a door can be.

The Knit Changho series exists 

as a portable door — a door that can unfold, 

move, and connect across different spaces.

니트창호 시리즈는 

전통 창호의 구조를 니트라는 

물성으로 다시 엮어낸 작업입니다.

단단한 나무로 만들어졌던 문은 이 작업 

안에서 더 부드럽고 유연한 형태의 문으로 변화합니다.

전통 창호의 실제 구조와 비율을 바탕으로, 

문살의 짜임과 비례를 니트로 다시 이어 

하나의 새로운 문으로 풀어냈습니다.

이 작업은 전통 창호의 형태를 

단순히 옮기는 것이 아니라, 

문이 가진 감각 자체를 새롭게 바꾸는 과정이었습니다.

니트창호는 어디서든 펼치고 연결할 수 있는 

하나의 portable door입니다.
